The right course for you depends on your current proficiency and your goals. We offer three main levels aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):

  • Level A1 (Beginner): For absolute beginners who need to meet immediate communication needs.
  • Level A2 (Platform): For those looking to solidify their understanding of past tenses and describe their personal surroundings.
  • Level B1 (Threshold): To achieve communicative autonomy, express wishes, and develop skills in argumentation and the use of the subjunctive.

The placement test is an essential step in placing you in the group that best suits your skill level. The process is simple and convenient:

  • Request: As soon as you fill out the contact form on this page, you will receive the proof directly in your email.
  • Flexible format: You can take it at your own pace from home so we can assess your grammar and reading comprehension skills.
  • Submission and grading: Once you have completed it, please return it to us via the same channel so that our teaching staff can evaluate it.

The course load for our regular courses is designed to ensure steady progress:

  • Level A1 (Beginner): Consists of a total of 60 class hours, divided into two modules of 30 hours each.
  • Levels A2 (Platform) and B1 (Threshold): Each level consists of 120 class hours , organized into four modules of 30 hours each .

Yes, we offer a variety of options to suit your needs:

  • Intensive courses for groups: Fast-track programs available year-round.
  • Summer Intensive Courses: Specialized courses offered in June and July to help you make the most of your learning during the summer.
  • "One-on-One" Courses: In-person individual lessons with complete flexibility in scheduling and content.
  • Online Format (AVE Global): Through the Instituto Cervantes platform, with flexible scheduling and personalized tutoring.

Both are official certifications from the Instituto Cervantes, but they have different characteristics:

  • DELE: A certificate with permanent validity that certifies a specific language proficiency level. The exam is administered on paper during scheduled testing sessions.
  • SIELE: A faster and more flexible online service . The certificate is valid for 5 years and provides an overall score based on a grading scale.

As an accredited testing center, we make the process easier:

  • DELE and CCSE: Registration is done on the Instituto Cervantes’ official exam portal; select CESTE as your test center in Zaragoza.
  • SIELE: You can schedule your appointment on the official SIELE website or contact us to book a session at our facility.
  • Additional information: We regularly post the dates of upcoming calls for applications on our official channels.

About CESTE

Our center

CESTE has a campus spanning over 500 m² that operates as a university center authorized by the Government of Aragon. The building, which is fully accessible via elevator across its three floors, offers a comprehensive and modern environment designed to facilitate the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE).

The center has 11 multipurpose classrooms, at least two of which are primarily dedicated to teaching Spanish as a foreign language. With floor areas ranging from 28 m² to 70 m², these spaces easily accommodate a class size of 12 students, ensuring personalized attention.

In terms of technical resources, all classrooms are equipped with a computer, projector, and speakers, supplemented by additional audio players and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the campus. There is also a dedicated computer lab with state-of-the-art equipment designed to support students’ independent and digital work.

Administration, Coordination, and Faculty

To ensure academic excellence, the center has 24 offices dedicated to key functions:

  • ELE Coordination: A central hub for pedagogical oversight in accordance with the CEFR and the PCIC.
  • Language Department: An area equipped with computer equipment for the preparation of materials and the work of the teaching staff.
  • Management and Administration: Areas dedicated to student services and certification management.
  • Conference Room: A space for coordination meetings and faculty meetings.

Support and Learning Services

Learning extends beyond the classroom thanks to specialized resources:

  • Library: A 54-square-meter space that combines physical books and journals with access to the University of Wales Virtual Library.
  • Auditorium: A 223-square-meter auditorium (seating 210 people) ideal for cultural conferences and institutional events.
  • Support services: The center has a reprographics area for managing materials and files.

Immersion Experience: Leisure and Housing

CESTE offers a fully immersive experience through its residential services and common areas:

  • Student Residence: Located on campus, it features 46 rooms with private bathrooms.
  • Dining: On-site café and self-service dining area.
  • Sports Facilities: Thanks to agreements with Sagrada Familia School and Stadium Casablanca, students have access to sports complexes, swimming pools, a gym, and tennis and paddle tennis courts.
  • Parking: Ample private and shared parking for the convenience of the school community.

All facilities strictly comply with current regulations (Royal Decree 557/1991) and are subject to a process of continuous improvement to ensure a physical environment that fosters academic success.
