What company do you work for?
I work at Sagrada Familia School
What motivated you to participate in CESTE’s Digital Generation for SMEs Program?
My main motivation for enrolling in the program is the need to effectively lead the modernization of the educational environment at Sagrada Familia School (SAFA).
Gaining expertise in emerging technologies and digital tools is key to optimizing academic management processes and enhancing the learning experience.
I think that, in our day-to-day work, we often find ourselves following processes that are perhaps a bit outdated, and it’s good to take a step back every now and then to explore the resources available to us today.
What motivated you to participate in CESTE’s Digital Generation for SMEs Program?
Of course, the quality of the faculty. They are experts in digitalization, and their ability to communicate with students, the support they provide, and their adaptation of content to the group’s diverse needs are truly impressive. The role of the assigned tutor is also worth highlighting; they guide you through the entire process and constantly encourage you.
I think the teaching methodology—which always involves collaboration with teachers—is a real success, and it creates a very strong connection to the program. Plus, right from the start, you see practical applications of the content, both at the school level and on a personal level as a teacher.
One year after participating in the program, what applications and improvements have been implemented at the Sagrada Familia Center?
One of our main objectives—and the first one we’ve implemented—is the functionality of the Educamos communication platform, which has already been implemented at the school but which we weren’t utilizing to its full potential.
We are also optimizing the Google Workspace tools we use.
Right now, we are making progress in the field of education, using data analysis tools and Chromebooks, as well as monitoring the use of AI in the classroom.
We are also making improvements with Scrumtegy, a tool designed to support strategic planning and balanced scorecards, and we are working on a shared database for all the services we provide, as well as developing a chatbot to make things easier for families—especially during the school year—and streamline administrative tasks.
Best of all, we now have a much broader view of the possibilities available to us, and our goal is to move forward step by step and bring digital transformation to more areas of Sagrada Familia School, such as marketing, the enrollment process, and administration.

What benefits is CESTE’s Digital Generation for SMEs Program providing?
Ceste's Digital Generation for SMEs Program is giving me the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the digital sphere across various fields—including marketing, management, innovation, and customer relations—all from a very practical perspective that can be put into practice right away.
In what areas do you think this training could benefit your company? Could it improve your productivity?
Particularly in the areas of marketing (customer acquisition, customer relations, user experience, brand awareness, etc.) and innovation (product development, process improvement, etc.)
Do you think it will also benefit your own professional and personal development?
Undoubtedly, in an environment where digital skills and competencies are increasingly in demand, this is a unique opportunity to learn from top-tier professionals who offer knowledge and expertise that can be put to immediate use.
What prior experience did you have in the digital field?
Yes, after nearly 10 years as Marketing Director in the wine industry, I had experience in various areas, particularly those related to marketing: SEM, SEO, social media, email marketing, CRM…
Why is it important for an SME to embrace digital transformation?
Because the digital environment is the primary channel for customer acquisition, communication, and engagement, and falling behind means losing a competitive edge.
Do you think more programs like this are needed to help these companies?
Undoubtedly, since there are now multinational companies in virtually every sector with extensive knowledge and investment in the digital sphere, they pose a threat to all those small and medium-sized enterprises that must compete on equal footing as a result of digitalization.

What course are you taking?
Digital Generation Program for SME Executives
What is your position, and at which company do you work?
Head of R&D&I; my primary role involves working on energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization projects for our clients, as well as providing cross-functional support to SEGUAS in optimizing internal processes and automating and digitizing the company’s own resources.
What knowledge and tools is the program providing you with?
It’s helping me learn more about artificial intelligence and its application in the industry, since we’re already implementing it at Seguas. And on a personal level, I consider the aspect of innovation and people to be very important; through this program, Ceste is helping me gain a deeper understanding of how to implement innovation processes and work on them with my colleagues at Seguas, thereby adding even more value to the ideas people come up with. Inspiring people and giving them confidence in their ideas is essential for a company to grow sustainably, and for Seguas, this is a top priority.
What would you highlight about the program's methodology?
Support for the development of a digital transformation plan specifically for SEGUAS.
What are the teachers like, and what is your learning relationship with them?
They are primarily experts in their respective fields, although some of the subjects may not be directly relevant to Seguas’ business model; however, there are other professors who have taught me a great deal, and I have even stayed in touch with them to continue my learning.
What would you say to someone who meets the requirements for this training?
Although people still say that the future lies in digitalization, the truth is that it is already here and moving very quickly—so quickly that if you don’t start learning about digitalization today, it will be difficult to achieve the level of digital transformation that companies will need by 2024.
Why is it important for an SME to embrace digital transformation?
Because the digital environment is the primary channel for customer acquisition, communication, and engagement, and falling behind means losing a competitive edge.
What short-term initiatives (if any) is your company currently implementing, and what are your long-term goals (if you have them clearly defined and would like to share them)?
We are currently transitioning to a more digital, interconnected ERP system that spans the entire company, which will help us become more efficient and competitive. However, the initiative we are focusing on is the digitization of our customers’ assets. By leveraging AI, we aim to provide predictive maintenance that optimizes energy consumption and prevents their machines from stopping production due to unforeseen failures caused by wear and tear, vibration, or energy efficiency issues. In this way, we aim to become an innovative company in the maintenance of industrial refrigeration and compressed air equipment.
