CESTE is the first business school in Aragón. Since 1988, we have been training professionals based on the British university model and with direct ties to the business community in the region and around the world.
About Us
What is CESTE University Center?
CESTE is a private university specializing in business management and technology, with its own campus in Zaragoza. It was founded in 1988 on the initiative of a group of Aragonese business leaders and under the ownership of the Sagrada Familia School, who sought a higher education program capable of preparing the future leaders of their companies. From these origins stems a characteristic that continues to define the institution: its direct and ongoing connection to the business community.
In 1994, with the support of the British Council, CESTE signed a collaboration agreement with the University of Wales, now known as the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD). This agreement allows students to earn an official British university degree without traveling to the United Kingdom—a degree that is recognized in Spain, the European Union, and the United Kingdom. Affiliation with UWTSD is also the basis for CESTE’s recognition as an Authorized Foreign University Center by the Government of Aragon and for its registration in the Ministry’s RUCT under code 50012441.
The educational model is based on the British system and is overseen by UWTSD in accordance with the standards of the QAA (UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education). This means small class sizes, continuous assessment through essays, projects, and presentations rather than rote-memorization exams, and an explicit focus on employability.

Why CESTE's degrees are officially recognized
Accreditation is achieved through two simultaneous pathways. The British degree is awarded by UWTSD, a public university in the United Kingdom accredited by the QAA, and the institution’s operations are authorized by the Government of Aragon and registered in the RUCT of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities under code 50012441. In addition to this institutional recognition, the institution holds sector-specific accreditations that enable it to offer professional certifications within its own programs.

Our History
More than 35 years of training in Zaragoza
CESTE opened its doors in the 1988–1989 academic year as the first business school in Aragón, and in 1994 it adopted the British university model in partnership with the University of Wales, now known as the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Since then, it has continued to expand into new fields of study in response to demand from the business community.

In-person
100% in-person classes at the Zaragoza campus, with direct interaction with instructors and an immersive learning experience alongside the rest of the group, making the most of teamwork in the classroom.
Virtual
The same in-person classes with the same instructor and classmates, but attended live from home or work, with the option to attend in-person sessions and activities whenever it works for you.
Online
100% online training through the CESTE Online platform, at your own pace. Instructors are still available to answer questions and provide personalized support for your learning.
Blended by CESTE
You work through the video content at a time that works best for you and then apply what you’ve learned during the online session for that unit. You’ll have access to professional tools for your assignments and support from a tutor.

Our headquarters
Come meet CESTE in person
We are located in one of the quietest and most beautiful areas of Zaragoza, through which the Imperial Canal of Aragon flows, next to one of the city’s most important sports centers and the Sagrada Familia School.
The main campus is housed in the institution’s own building at Paseo de los Infantes de España 4, with classrooms and workspaces spread across four floors, equipped for presentations, group work, or creative sessions of all kinds. The library remains a place for gathering and teamwork, and the auditorium hosts key events in academic life and particularly significant lectures. International students can stay in the residence hall adjacent to the main campus.
Right next door is the Casablanca Stadium, a sports center where people can play soccer, tennis, and padel, as well as swim, featuring a heated pool, a gym, and relaxation areas.

What is the relationship between CESTE and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David?
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David is the British university that accredits CESTE’s programs. The agreement was signed in 1994 with what was then the University of Wales, with the support of the British Council, and remains in effect today. Thanks to this partnership, which has now lasted more than thirty years, CESTE students earn a British university degree without having to travel to the United Kingdom.
Can you study at CESTE without meeting the minimum admission score?
Yes. CESTE’s undergraduate programs—the Bachelor of Business Management and the Bachelor of Applied Computing—do not require a minimum university entrance exam score because they follow the British admissions system. The admissions process evaluates the applicant’s academic record and a personal interview, and both programs are completed in three years.
What programs does CESTE offer?
CESTE offers two three-year undergraduate degree programs—the BBM in Business Administration and the BAC in Applied Computer Science—as well as a graduate program catalog that includes the MBA with its specializations, the Master’s in Financial Management, the Master’s in Networks and Cybersecurity, and the Master’s in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, the school offers executive programs, advanced programs, and professional certifications for working professionals.
In what formats can the programs be taken?
CESTE offers four learning formats: in-person classes at its Zaragoza campus; tele-presential classes, which allow students to follow the in-person class live from home or work; online classes via the CESTE Online platform; and the “blended by CESTE” format, which combines pre-recorded sessions with tele-presential classes and support from a tutor.
What sets the CESTE model apart from that of a Spanish university?
CESTE follows the British university model in accordance with QAA standards. The most noticeable differences include the three-year duration of degree programs, as opposed to the four years typical in Spain; admission without a minimum grade requirement; continuous assessment through essays, projects, and presentations rather than rote-learning exams; small class sizes; and a faculty composed largely of practicing professionals.
Can an international student study at CESTE?
Yes. CESTE has been welcoming international students since 2008 and offers on-campus housing, specialized guidance for international admissions, and scholarship and student loan agreements with several countries, including MESCYT graduate scholarships for students from the Dominican Republic. Classes are taught in Spanish, with courses and support available in professional English.
